German BMBF calls for applications for projects on alternatives to animal experiments
Posted on 2021-11-05The German Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) aims to consolidate and strengthen Germany's leading international position in the field of alternative methods. Funding applications for excellent projects aiming to develop new methods to replace or reduce animal experiments (module I) and concepts that support the widespread use of alternative methods (e.g. education and training courses) and strategies to implement alternative methods (module II) will be considered.
Universities, research institutions and companies may apply. The project duration is three years. Projects may be submitted by March 15 every year beginning with 2022. Project applications received after the deadline will be considered for the following funding period.
