The 18 winners of the LUSH Prize 2017 shared a prize fund of £330,000 awarded on November 10 in London. One other project was commended by the judges. The joint winners of the Lobbying prize were The Humane Society Legislative Fund (HSLF), The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), and The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM), USA. The prize for Public Awareness went to AFABILITY, France / UK and Te Protejo, Chile. The Science prize was awarded to Prof. Jennifer Lewis, Lewis Bioprinting Team – Harvard University, USA, and Dr Suhyon Lee, Biosolution Co Ltd., South Korea was commended in this category. The Human Toxicology Project Consortium, USA was awarded in the Training category. There were thirteen winners in the Young Researcher categories. The Andrew Tyler Award for outstanding contribution to ending animal testing was introduced for the first time and awarded posthumously to Andrew Tyler, a former Lush Prize judge.
