Award for Equipment Used to Assess Transepithelial/Transendothelial Electrical Resistance
We are awarding free equipment to measure transepithelial/transendothelial electrical resistance (TEER). The EVOM Manual for TEER Measurement with the STX4 electrode by World Precision Instruments is the most recent and improved version of the chopstick electrode and is used to measure the voltage (potential difference) and TEER of epithelial or endothelial cell layers cultured on 12- and 24-well permeable membrane inserts.

Award for Reconstructed Human Tissue Models or Alveolar Macrophages from Epithelix
We have teamed up with Epithelix to award free three-dimensional reconstructed human respiratory tissues or alveolar macrophages to assess toxicity or drug efficacy/safety. The human cell–based tissue models by Epithelix mimic various regions of the respiratory tract from nasal to alveolar regions. Their primary alveolar macrophages can be used on their own or in combination with the alveolar model AlveolAir.
